Hart Area Fire Department operates out of one station located in the City of Hart.  Our apparatus includes two pumpers, one mini-pumper, one tanker, one equipment/utility truck, one off-road fire/rescue truck, two grass trucks, and one boat. 

24 paid on call members respond to on average 120-130 fire calls per year.  Hart Area Fire Department provides fire protection and extrication services to three townships which cover an area of approximately 108 square miles.   Included in the service area are 13 miles of highway US-31.  and have mutual and initial aid agreements with several surrounding townships.  Mutual aid agreements are in place with all surrounding fire departments as well with automatic dispatch to structure fires in neighboring districts.
