 Silver Lake Fire / Rescue

The Hart Area Fire Department has received a surplus truck from the US Air Force. We are building this truck into an emergency response vehicle that will serve the visitors on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes and surrounding area. We are seeking donations to assist with making this project a reality.

 Below is a initial list of equipment that we hope to place into service on Project Silver Lake Fire Rescue. If you would like to help in any fashion please contact the Hart Area Fire Department at hartfd@charterinternet.com

NEEDED ITEMS FOR THE SILVER LAKE FIRE TRUCK

1. Off Road Tires and Wheels: Rear wheels must be "super single" style with widest possible tire.             
2. Paint and Decals: Paint to match HFD fleet, vinyl decals "gold leaf" to match HFD fleet - specifications available on request
3. Spray in bedliner for utility box: approximately 8'L x 4'W x 3'H            
4. Skid Unit: tank, pump, foam, reels, etc - specifications available on request            
5. Fire Extinguishers

(2) 10 lbs Dry Chemical
(2) 10 lbs CO2
(2) 10 lbs Water

6. Halligan Bar            
7. Hurst rescue tool and power unit: specifications on request            
8. DeWalt cordless power tools: 18V Reciprocating saw, drill, impact driver, and metal shears
9. Glas-Master Windshield saw
10. Shovels:

(3) Flat with D handle
(3) Spade with D handle

11. (2) Wildland broom            
12. Vehicle cribbing: specifications on request   
13. Misc. hand tools: (cable cutters, screw drivers, rubber mallet, wrenches, etc)   
14. Modify front bumper / fabricate vehicle stabilization tripod
15. VHF Two-Way Radio Item Received by Donation
16. "Snap-strap", tow chain, and rope
17. Seat belt cutter(s)
18. Short ladder (6' – folding)
19. Digital camera
20. Personal Floating Devices (life jacket)
21. Winch Accessory Kit  

Financial donations towards the above equipment will be greatly appreciated and make the truck that much more prepared for service to the Silver Lake community.  Any questions can be posted here on the forum or emailed directly to the Hart Area Fire Department.
